Discover the expertise and care that your Optometrist brings to crafting your next pair of glasses.
Before ordering your glasses, it's essential to have regular eye exams with your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist. Blurred vision can result from various factors, and a diligent eye exam will identify any underlying issues and ensure you receive an accurate glasses prescription tailored to your needs. Additionally, many eye conditions can present with no symptoms at all, making regular eye exams even more important.

Your eye care is important to us. A glasses precription alone does not does not provide a complete picture of your eye health. It does not fulfill the requirements of our checklist ✔️ when crafting your glasses. If your last eye exam was performed by another provider, kindly request a release of your health records. We appreciate your understanding.
With the dedication and support of Opticians, Orthoptists, Ocularists, Physicists, Scientists, Researchers, Engineers, Developers, Technologists, Technicians, Assistants, and Support Teams, all these individuals work tirelessly to help you see every day. Together, they’re making the world a better place to see. Thank you.
Bring your own frames, or let us analyze your prescription to guide you in selecting frames that minimize visual distortions and enhance both the performance and appearance of your lenses in the next step.
You'll have the opportunity to try them on in person, with adjustments available to ensure the best fit and optimal vision. Plus, our curated collection will complement your style and new look.
Considering your prescription, lifestyle, hobbies, and occupation, we thoughtfully recommend the technology, type, index, coatings, and tints tailored for you. We craft them to meet strict ANSI Z80.1 standard tolerances and precisely compensate your prescription to your unique measurements.
Select from ultra-thin, lightweight options with proprietary coatings including Anti-Reflective, Anti-Scratch, Easy Clean, and UV protection for superior clarity, durability, protection, and aesthetic.
We do more than just obtain your Pupillary Distance (PD)—the horizontal distance between your pupils. We also carefully measure your Optical Centre Heights (the vertical alignment of your eyes within the frames), which are just as critical, especially for higher prescriptions and progressive lenses. These precise measurements can only be accurately determined after you've selected your frames.
Additionally, we measure factors like pantoscopic tilt (the angle of the frame in relation to your face), vertex distance (the space between the back of the lens and your eyes), and frame wrap (the curvature of the frame around your face) to further optimize your vision.
Enjoy direct billing to your insurance provider for added convenience.
Once we upload your lens and frame measurements a cascade of calculations and logistics begin. Manufacturing starts right away. Our couriers send your frames to the top ophthalmic lens labs in Canada. Your frames are traced, and the lenses are surfaced, coated, blocked, edged, and mounted into your frames with meticulous care and efficiency.
We’re actively working on creating our very own finishing lens lab at Clara Optometry. This exciting project is a significant investment and we appreciate your support in helping us make it a reality. Once complete, this addition will provide even better value and faster service for your eyewear needs.
We perform our final verifications and schedule you for a pickup appointment to evaluate your vision and ensure comfort.
Helping you see is an honour and privilege. It's why we love what we do. From your eye exam to this final moment.
We hope you love your new glasses as much as we loved crafting them for you. We highly recommend scheduling regular eye exams with your Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
We look forward to serving you for many years to come
